History of Canandaigua Emergency Squad

2000-Present
On May 21, 2005 CES Celebrated 65 years of Service and Dedication.   On June 28, 2005 CES received two new, State-of-the-Art ambulances built by PL Custom Emergency Vehicles.

 On March 13, 1984 the “Mutual Hook and Ladder Emergency Squad” officially had their named changed to “Canandaigua Emergency Squad”.        
1970-1979
On Aug 18, 1975 the City Board of agrees to sell the current North Pearl St location to the squad for $30,000.   At this time 1 ambulance was parked at the Pearl St garage, with 2 more ambulances housed on Niagara St where Murphy Tires is currently located.    Ambulances where dispatched from the fire house on Niagara St.   Call Volume:

 In 1960 the Mutual Hook & Ladder Emergency Squad became a Not-for-Profit Corporation.
